Kensington Institute of
Australia offers Diploma of Leadership and Management which aims to furnish the
skills and expertise needed to take lead in an organization. This course enables
students to boost their confidence and leadership skills, introducing a new way
for bold new roles, opportunities, and challenges. During the course, students
can be inspired judgment to plan, organize and audit their own work, as well as
the output of their workmates. This course is hands-on and practical and allows
the student to enhance entrepreneurial and creative approaches in handling
people, finances, and projects. Identify how students will face the
unpredictable and benefit on new information as you take the charge of your
career exploration.
Course Duration

2
x 7 hour face to face classes per week over 52 weeks (9.00am to 4:00pm) In this
part of the program learners are required to attend instruction as part of
their learning process

Required
hours of Self-study/ independent learning/ research and reflection hours per
week, where learners are required to reflect and carry on further study, 6
hours are mandatory for international learners (Please see delivery and
assessment). A trainer is present for such sessions.
Course Requirements

Must
be 18 years and above;
·
Have
satisfactorily completed a minimum of year 12 or equivalent (this may be
international);
·
To
assure an correct learning opportunity, learners would need to establish a
capacity to undertake study at Diploma level; this can be established via the
following:

Successful
completion of Year 12 or the equivalent level of study or mature aged entry (if
applicable
·
Minimum
English level of IELTS 5.5, learners originating from student visa assessment
levels 1 and 2 without the compulsory IELTS score can undertake KIA’s English
Proficiency Test. For information on student visa assessment levels, indicated
in the Department of Immigration and Border Protection website
(www.border.gov.au)
Numeracy
and Literacy
All learners are required to
complete a Language, Literacy and numeracy test in order to ascertain and
acceptance into the program. Where a learner is not completing the test at the
required, support will be offered to them. This assistance is determined at a case-by-case
measure.
Learners must have a
demonstrated capacity in competencies as required by the Australian Core Skills
Framework (ACSF), to undertake this course. This will be ascertained through
the LLN Assessment they complete with their application form.
It is recommended that
participants must have the following levels:
